In most cases, no referral is required to schedule with North Penn Podiatry. Some insurance plans do require a referral from your primary care physician, so it's a good idea to check with your insurance carrier before your visit. If you were referred by a doctor, let our office know when you request your appointment.
Your first visit gives us the opportunity to learn about your medical history and current foot or ankle concerns. Plan to arrive a little early to complete any remaining paperwork, and bring your insurance card, a list of current medications, and any relevant test results or X-rays. We accept a wide range of insurance plans. Because coverage and network participation can change, we recommend calling our office to confirm that your specific plan is accepted before your appointment. Patients are responsible for co-payments and any charges not covered by insurance.
We do our best to accommodate urgent foot and ankle problems as quickly as possible. Call our Lansdale or King of Prussia office directly to ask about same-day or next-day availability — phone calls are generally the fastest way to be seen quickly.
North Penn Podiatry treats a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, including heel pain and plantar fasciitis, bunions, hammertoes, ingrown and fungal toenails, diabetic foot care, sports injuries, ankle sprains, fractures, and general foot and ankle surgery. Yes. We provide pediatric foot care for conditions such as flat feet, in-toeing, growing pains and Sever's disease, in addition to care for adult and geriatric patients.
No. North Penn Podiatry emphasizes conservative, minimally invasive treatment whenever appropriate — such as bracing, orthotics, physical therapy or medication — and only recommends surgery when it's genuinely the most effective option. Board-certified surgical expertise is available when needed.
Yes, custom foot orthotics are available when appropriate for your condition. Your doctor will discuss whether orthotics, footwear modifications, or another approach best fits your needs during your evaluation.
